There is also have something is called mental illness that is now believable to everyone. This is because countless patients are currently seen in mental hospitals who are mentally ill. Maybe, physically they are perfectly healthy but mentally very sick.

Again, many people think of themselves as mentally ill. It shouldn't be at all. You cannot judge for yourself whether you are mentally ill or not. It can be tested by your family, the people around you.

Today this mental illness has also been discussed in detail in Sunrise71-En. If you read the whole article carefully, your idea about mental illness will become clear InshaAllah. So let's get started.

What is mental illness?

Mental illness that was before is still there and will continue to be in the future. This disease has been defined differently from time to time. Which many fall into the unknown.

In ancient times, people thought of these mentally ill people as being possessed by demons, possessed by a demon. Or felt the effect of black or contaminated blood, and so on.

Again, in the case of those whose behavior was very bad, it was thought that an evil spirit had come upon them. Again, in the case of those whose conduct was like the rules of religious conduct or who were good and beautiful, it was thought that good spirits had come upon them.

This is still the case in the present era, especially in some states of India. In ancient times the skulls of the mentally ill were pierced. So that evil spirits can get out of this hole. Imagine for a second you were transposed into the karmic driven world of Earl.

Even today some people think these things are right. It is still relied upon as a treatment for most mental patients and relies on scrubbing. Although these issues fall under the category of superstition. Many of you may have heard of Hippocrates.

But Unio was also a man of ancient times. However, he said at the time that a part of the brain may be affected by a disease that affects the mind. Although he was a physician in ancient Greece at the time, he could not establish his opinion because scientific progress was slow at that time.

However, he mentioned three types of mental illness. These are - mania, depression, and personality disorders. People still practice these. Some medical methods of Hippocrates are now being used scientifically.

It would be surprising to know that in the Middle Ages, mentally ill people were generally considered witches or vampires and were intended to eradicate them from being subjected to inhuman torture.

Although gradually this torture on the mentally ill subsequently subsided and society and civilization began to show mercy on them. But the pace of medical treatment was slow.

These mental patients were usually kept in a room that was completely dark. It was called Paglagard (in Bengali). Now of course it is not called an insane asylum. Being mentally ill does not mean being crazy anymore.

The most acceptable definition of mental illness is given by the American Psychiatric Association. In their published Diagnostic and Statistical of Mental Disorders, they state that "mental illness is the sum of several emotional, physical or behavioral problems or abnormalities that plague a person and disrupt his or her social and daily activities."

Again, if we put it more simply when a person loses his normal functioning, he can be called a mental illness. It can be in the conversation, eating, socializing with people, etc.

So if some of the symptoms of mental illness match yours, then you will not be considered as a mental patient. For example, if you get hurt by someone's words, you may break down or cry.

Now since depression is a symptom of mental illness, however, this depression does not affect it in the slightest. But if you keep getting that pain, you keep crying, your work is disrupted, then it can be called mental illness.

But the thing to note is that if there is no harm to the personal, social and personal actions of the person due to various mental symptoms or symptoms, then in no way will it fall into mental illness.

There are many types of mental illness. Notable among them are - Schizophrenia, Bipolar Mood Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive, Conversion Disorder, Panic Disorder, Dissociative Disorder, Sleep Problems (Insomnia), Drug Addiction, Psychosocial, etc.

Although not a mental illness, some people sometimes have to take psychiatric treatment. These have to be accepted as a situation. Such as - a person who confesses to abuse, confesses to child abuse, marital quarrels, facing a traumatic event, failing to get good results at work or study, etc.

Do you need treatment for mental problems at all?

The person who suffers from mental problems or illness suffers for himself and his family. Usually, anger or stubbornness, taking a trivial incident to a complicated stage, unreasonable suspicion of someone, etc, causes the mental patient's relationship with different people to be damaged and distance is created.

In the case of mental illness, the person cannot do any work completed in any way. He has to go through various troubles. It is difficult to do professional work. Careers are ruined in many cases.

Have you ever wondered if the individual is not only in financial trouble, but also in the family, and ultimately in the country's GDP, even if it has a small impact?

Those who have studied sociology or political science or history know that the government spends a lot of money on a citizen. So the government has the power to demand from those citizens.

There are expectations. But if the person destroys himself or commits suicide due to mental illness, then the person himself, his family, society, and the state as a whole suffer.

Thus, mental illness must be treated. So without neglecting this mental illness, without hiding it, by overcoming the fear of public shame, it is necessary to adopt the present scientific medical method.

The current treatment system for mental illness:

Mental illness can occur for a variety of reasons. One of the social or physical reasons. And mental illness is treated in a slightly different way.

The way patients are usually treated for various problems is not the same as for mental patients. Psychiatric patients are mainly treated according to the psychosocial model. Simply put, some medications are also given as well as psychotherapy.

Studies have shown that the combination of medicine and psychotherapy has been the most effective. Medicine is the key to some mental problems and psychotherapy is the key to some mental problems.

However, when you or someone in your family goes somewhere for treatment on these matters, the psychiatrist must know well about his training.

It is also necessary to extend the hand of cooperation to the people of the society. I am a social worker who talks about their cooperation. Generally, treatment of mental illness is available at the National Institute of Psychiatry, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and other medical colleges in Bangladesh.

In Dhaka city, psychotherapy can usually be taken at Dhaka Community Hospital (Moghbazar), Nasrullah Psychotherapy Unit (Kala Bhavan, Dhaka University), and Darpan. Even if you search for the Psychotherapy Center on Google Map of your mobile, you will find many addresses.

But of course, it is better to judge and analyze the good and bad, reputation, and notoriety of the organization. Otherwise, it will be a waste of money and work will be nothing. Psychotherapy can be taken in different cities outside Dhaka.

In conclusion, mental illness is a kind of disease. In this disease, the life of the patient is ruined and some of the family members are ruined or destroyed. Especially those who are addicted to drugs. So, keep an eye on the boys and girls in your family.

Keep an eye on where they are going, who they are dealing with, what they are keeping on their mobile or computer. If you notice a sudden change in behavior, analyze it. If necessary, see a doctor early. But yes, treat them well in all cases. Everything will be fine - I'm finishing here today. I will come again with a new subject. Until then everyone stays healthy and beautiful.
